In the field of de-oiling, ThermoTrade s.r.l.’s coalescing media offer a high contact surface between the two liquid phases (oil and water), allowing for structurally smaller systems. Usually, traditional static systems have large structures and require large excavations to separate oils from effluent, because water can have a high flow rate and basins a very long retention time. The filters are also used in other fields, such as cooling towers, scrubbing towers, and paint booths.

De-oiling

DIS 13 coalescence filters are made of thermoformed sheets with conduits at a 60° angle, assembled together. Oil drops go back up the length of a single conduit instead of the whole vat, allowing the two phases to separate faster. Droplets accumulate along the roof of the conduits – which are made in PVC (an oleophilic material) and feature a corrugated surface – and increase in size (coalescence process).
